What is Yuletide: the 13 Holy Nights?

Rooted in Celtic, Norse, and Germanic traditions, this online experience invites you to align with the spiritual essence of the season. Starting on December 20th and concluding on January 1st, you’ll embark on a journey inspired by the ancient belief that the veil between worlds thins during these sacred nights.

Historically, the 13 Holy Nights were a time to pause, reflect, and seek guidance for the year ahead. These traditions have been lovingly adapted for modern times, offering rituals, meditations, and practices to help you connect with yourself, nature, and the divine energies of the season.

What do I receive?

Each morning, a new module of this self-paced program opens for you in the online academy. It’s easy to log in, and you’ll find all resources neatly structured in one place. You’ll receive:

  • 1. Online: Live 'Winter Solstice Ceremony' 
    A 30 minutes online ceremony on 21 December, to tune into the energy of the 13 Holy Nights together (replay available if you can’t make it).

    We honor our Motherline, and ask for their guidance & wisdom this first Holy Night.

  • Holy Night 2. 21 December: Winter Solstice
    We celebrate the return of the light, often with fire, a ‘yule log’ ritual, and celebrations.

  • Holy Night 3. 22 December: Yule Tree Secrets
    The Yule tree is erected, adorned it with symbols of your family’s stories and the Sun Star on top.

  • Holy Night 4. 23 December: Saturnalia
    A day of self-love and abundantly experimenting with identity and social roles.

  • Holy Night 5. 24 December: Christmas Eve
    Learn more about where Santa and Christmas traditions came from, and reflect on your true ‘Dream and Wishlist’.

  • Holy Night 6. 25 December: Christmas
    Learn about and Honor 'Deer Mother', and drink her ‘Magic Hot Chocolate’! Today, we focus on giving rather than receiving.

  • Holy Night 7. 26 December: Winter Witches
    Tonight is a night for ‘magic moral’ storytelling.
    Befana, Frau Holda, and Perchta Folklore all teach children about being naughty or nice…

    The perfect antidote to the dark, cold days of midwinter. Today we take a break! Cozy, relaxing time.

  • Holy Night 9. 28 Dec: Warding for Winter
    Prepare for the winter ahead by protecting your home and body as sanctuaries.

  • Holy Night 10. 29 December: Kissing Bush
    Today is a day of love; spend quality time with your beloved. And to kiss under the mistletoe!

  • Holy Night 11. 30 December: Wassailing
    Gather with friends, go outside, and sing! Make a warm spicy drink as an offering to the nature spirits.

  • Holy Night 12. 31 December: Hogmanay
    Tie up loose ends before you go out with a bang! Find a moment of silence to reflect,
    pull some tarot cards or runes, & dream up your plans for next year. Have a feast and make merry—eat, drink, sing, and dance!

  • Holy Night 13. 1 January: Saining
    New beginnings ask for a clean and blessed home and body. Sage your space, and take a blessing bath.

    • Each night we set an intention and align our spirit with the 'Dream Seeds'-Theme of each month of 2025, building a foundation for growth, healing, and manifestation in the year ahead.
